(this is my first post :-) ).
I thought I would introduce myself, I am a busy Mum of 2 teenagers, I live in the UK (near York) and I have citizenship in both the UK and NZ.
I served in the Royal Navy for 16 years as a Logistics Officer and had an amazing time meeting some incredible people (including the Queen) and made some amazing lifelong friends.
I am now a partner in a company called Menopause Experts, products, training workshops etc. (If any one wants to hit me up for some free meno training let me know and I can get you into the portal.)
I have a masters degree in HR development, with research into how people perform with mentoring v formal training.
I am passionate about women helping women and love my job as it does just that!
Lockdown in the UK has been sustained and difficult, online networking has really helped me through.
I am happy to connect with likeminded women all over the world as women together, I feel, is a very powerful thing!
We went to college in the 90s, started our careers when cell phones were a luxury that came with a shoulder bag and fax machines were the newest tech.
Here we are now, in what should be the best years of our career facing an ever changing work culture that sees established Boomers still running the show with Millennials expecting to be the next leaders. Meanwhile we just want to take a vacation, make sure the kids get to soccer practice and fund our 401k.
Keep it on topic, be decent humans, no keyboard warriors.
