(INTRO) Hi everyone!
After job searching, applying, interviewing, and getting "thanks but no thanks" emails for four months, I FINALLY found this site! Not only this great site, but a group solely for us Gen Xers....amazing!!
I'm a single mom of two (one 16 year old boy, one 12 year old girl) and share joint custody with their dad, mom of a senior pitbull mama, and have come to love working remotely since the pandemic.
I'm looking, yet again, to switch jobs after far too many toxic traits and even having to report someone to HR, with no follow up action from HR. Luckily I have one of the best bosses I have ever had who supports me in whatever decision I make, as long as I as a person, am happy.
Looking to chat, connect, network, whatever! Just happy to have found this site while applying!

The part of your post that got me was when you were talking about your boss!
I'm not in corporate anymore, but I was for over 15 years and I was so blessed with great bosses! I had a few not so great too, but for the most part, I was lucky to have generous, fun, amazing bosses, both male and female, and I'm sure it makes such a big difference in one's experience at work.
Anyway, looking forward to connecting more on here.

There is a subgroup for Gen Xer's. It looks like she posted this to that subgroup.
