Hi Ladies, First post here, I have a great career path when I out of college then decide to move to another country to start all over again.

After 10 years, I found myself struggling to keep up the dreams and ideas that I moved in the first place. And it seems too late to change a career path again. Never thought age will be a thing, but I don't want to give up what I like to do. Does anyone have a similar feelings in their life?

I am feeling the exact same frustration! I was on a great path, and now I'm completely lost.

You are not alone, Daphne! It's perfectly normal to feel this way, but the truth is that it is never too late to find a job you love. I like to remind myself that the last 2 elected US Presidents scored their dream job while in their 70s! You have PLENTY of time! Take a moment to sit down and ask yourself a few Qs: 1.) Do I want to pursue the same path or try something new? Make a list and compare. 2.) What are my "deal makers" for my next job - the things I MUST have in my job to be happy? 3.) What are my "deal breakers" for my next job - aspects that I absolutely will not do? 4.) Look at your lists. How does it feel to see what is really important to you? I hope this gives you a little more clarity, Daphne. Please know that I'm cheering you on!

Yep. I am getting ready to start my third career and I feel like my age is a factor even though I have to work 20 more years because I had to use my retirement when I got divorced and never got to build it back. I checked out your background and you have a lot of skills that could be applied to other careers. I think we have to sell ourselves a little harder, but I also think that it is very doable. I think it's exciting that you are so adventurous! Where did you move?

Thanks Alexis for checking my backgroynd, I did feel like I don't know how to sell myself. I moved from Taiwan when I turned 30 where I had an established career path and income. Now in LA for 12 years. Shifted my path a bit but basically still in the entertainment industry and still try to get my job situation stable. I know I should always believe myself, but sometime just feeling tired.

About this group

We went to college in the 90s, started our careers when cell phones were a luxury that came with a shoulder bag and fax machines were the newest tech. Here we are now, in what should be the best years of our career facing an ever changing work culture that sees established Boomers still running the show with Millennials expecting to be the next leaders. Meanwhile we just want to take a vacation, make sure the kids get to soccer practice and fund our 401k.
