Women in data science

In my current role I have been learning a lot about the importance of data science and just how important this capability will be in the future. One observation I have is that data science is a young profession and as such is open for women to play a leading role in shaping the future, it's still there for the taking in my opinion. I'm interested in other views on this, do you agree or are there blockers preventing women taking senior leadership roles in data science?

100% agree!Data Science is definitely an area women can not only shape but take the lead. I am also convinced that there are or will emerge other young STEM professions where women have the opportunity to take a leading role
