What skills (both technical & soft) do you think will be most important to employers post-coronavirus?
I think the ability to communicate clearly will be more important than ever, but I've been wondering if we'll see some skills become less important than before (perhaps some people-specific skills like maintaining eye contact?). What do you think?
I think crafting our experiences into stories using the situation, action, result format will help while interviewing. Also, I think sharing those stories with leaders/co-workers can help raise their awareness around the importance of these and how to demonstrate them.
I believe empathy and emotional intelligence will be highly valued. This is a very sensitive time and emotions are at a high with people concerned about their health and their financial stability for themselves and their families.
You're definitely right. Which makes me wonder how we'll be able to show & prove to employers that we have these skills because I feel like they can be so subjective....
