Hello, I am happy I found FairyGodBoss and this group. I recently graduated with my Masters in Information Systems with a certificate in Cybersecurity in January. I am eager to get to utilize my degree and help other women transition into STEM.
Warm welcome Tiffany! Cybersecurity is high on every company' agenda. It could be that you don't find a role that exactly matches your Masters but perhaps expand your search to roles in the adjacent space and then once you either obtain certification or prove your value you can transition into a role with the perfect fit. Johnson & Johnson has a very extensive job bank and always on the look out for young female talents, so I encourage you to visit https://www.careers.jnj.com/
Mitra, Thank you. I have applied to one position yesterday at Johnson & Johnson. I will keep your advice in mind. I have applied to Supply Chain positions as well.
I would encourage you to check out jobs in this space at J&J.
FeliciaS- Thank you. I will check it out. I am having trouble finding roles in my Masters. Organizations feedback is I need a certification to get in the door.
Tiffany - Congratulations on such a wonderful accomplishment! Cybersecurity is especially important now, given changes in our work environment that have led to increased concerns regarding cyber-breaches. From what I have read, that the global cybersecurity market is currently worth $173B and is expected to grow to $270B by 2026. I am curious to know what led you to this area of specialization?
FeliciaS- Thank you. Cybersecurity offer unlimited growth in your career path and learning opportunities. I enjoyed understanding how technologies and organizations work. I am eager to make a real impact in Cybersecurity. Security breaches raising everyday, and that's terrifying.
welcome!
