Online application or referral?

Question for current J&J employees: did you get your job through a connection/referral or did you just apply online?

I replied to an ad in the newspaper :-) But today I would take an "all of the above" approach. Someone who really wants the job is hard to resist.

I applied to J&J through an online application on Indeed. At the time, I had no connections to the Company, but instead, knew the job was a great fit given my educational background and employment experience.

I joined JnJ as a co-op when I was in my MS program. I was able to make some internal connections and return to the company through a Leadership Development Program.

I followed Johnson & Johnson on LinkedIn and as I found a posting that matched my career aspirations, I applied online. Johnson & Johnson has a very robust recruitment process, so while connections and referrals are good, they are for sure not the only way in. Good Luck.............It's an amazing Company :-)
