Best songs to listen to when you need to get work done — go!

Feeling like my music has gotten a bit stale during quarantine. Let's get a list going of our favorite "get stuff done" songs/playlists!

Like Casey I find lyrics usually unhelpful so I go for instrumentals. Google Play Music used to have some good channels/stations for this with names like "enter beast mode" and the like. I often go for some EDM/trance. Heavy metal works for me even with lyrics at low volume because the nature of the vocals causes them to fade into the music a lot. ...and, yeah, I have some rather eclectic tastes. One of my very dear friends is a singer and bass guitar player for a doom metal band out of Texas.

French 60’s pop songs. They are upbeat, but since I don’t speak the language, I will not sing along.

I just discovered a YouTube channel (Ambient Worlds) that has Harry Potter themed ambience noise that I have been VERY into. My favorite is 'Rainy Night at Hogwarts"

I agree with Casey. Usually, the one playlist in Spotify that helps me get into my productive zone is Brain Food.

When I'm *really* in the zone, I actually find music with words distracting. If you have Spotify, check out the playlist called Lo-Fi Beats. It really helps me tune out distractions!
