I would value group members' input on Software Quality Assurance training courses for a writer-editor seeking to expand her skillset and employment opportunities.
Youtube (free) LinkedIn (free with certain membership levels), and Udemy (small price or free if your library subscribes to Udemy) are great places to get introductory lessons in software QA processes and you can probably learn everything you need to know about being a QA person on most software teams.
Start with free or inexpensive training before investing in a longer term and/or more expensive options, learn the processes, learn the lingo, learn the software (you can download and use many QA software tools through free trials), and then start looking for a jr. QA position.
FYI - you've got a great start for a QA being a editor (and even a better head-start if you've ever worked as a copy editor) reviewing things, looking for errors, working to a standard (style guides in both cases), following specific formats for reporting issues, and communicating clearly.
Good luck!
