Hello Everyone,

I am new to building a career portfolio. Do you have any tips or ideas on how and where to build one? My course is asking us to do so but still hasn't provided what is needed.

Hello! When you say "new" - do you mean you don't have a lot of career experience? I ask because you mention "course". Or do you mean you have a lot of career experience but haven't built a portfolio before? A CP is typically for those who need to physically showcase things they've done: artists, poets, cosmetologists, etc. It contains samples of things you've done/created in your career. You might have pictures of haircuts you've done if you're wanting to be a beautician. Or makeup looks you've created. Or artwork you've done if you're into visual arts. If you're newer to the work-world, a CP showcasing your talents would be awesome. Same if you were trying to break into a new profession. Ineed.com has a great article on the topic: https://www.indeed.com/career-advice/resumes-cover-letters/build-your-work-portfolio All the best!
