Stop the Spread

With all that is happening with COVID-19, I find it most difficult to connect with the media, Does anyone have a suggestion to get a story into the news, whether it be TV, Print, or Online? Is there an inside path you can recommend? The company I work with has a solution, a product to stop the spread of COVID-19. And I keep hitting brick walls to get an interview or some media attention. Could use some support and suggestions from my fairygodboss team. Thanks.

I live in a small town in Montana. I can pass your press release to the editor here. I can't make promises, but I've gotten a lot of people in the paper and in magazines and interviewed in international publications. Perhaps getting one publication under your belt--- a low hanging fruit publication in a small town with a fast turn around will give you some confidence! Then when you get the small publications you can move up! Email me your press release at [email protected] and I'll send it to a few media contacts in Montana.

Where are you located? How have you been contacting the media so far? Have you been just contacting the general number for the station or newspaper? If so, I'd suggest directly emailing or messaging a specific person or editor. All the journalists I've known and worked with have some way of contacting them directly, and they are usually looking for stories. Good luck!

Thank you Courtney, I have tried to reach a few editors directly via e.mail, and with little success. I appreciate your suggestions, and I’ll continue to reach out. Thanks again.
