The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As an EHS Engineer at our Skelmersdale site you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Supporting operations and support function teams with:
risk assessments,
safety conversations and GEMBAs,
incident investigations and problem solving,
safety improvement planning & support,
EHS auditing,
permit-to-work and contractor management, and
competent EHS guidance
Leading site specific EHS improvement projects and working with other members of the EHS team at Skelmersdale and the wider 3M EHS team across Europe and beyond
Collaborating with employees at all levels and different departments within the organization, including being an active member of the North Europe EHS team.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
NEBOSH certificate or equivalent EHS qualification
Experience working within an EHS role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills
Microsoft Office literate
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Ability to solve problems in a logical, methodical, and time efficient manner
Ability to manage change including quickly adapting to new systems and processes.
Self-motivated, highly productive and result-oriented in team-based environments
Role Location: Skelmersdale site (on-site role)
Ideal candidate location: Merseyside/Lancashire within commutable distance of Skelmersdale site
