Manufacturing Supervisor (Monroe, NC)

• Leading diverse teams to manufacture world class and lifesaving products. In doing so, ensuring a safe working environment through formal inspections, correcting unsafe behaviors, safety meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures, and equipment

• Being directly accountable for supervision, training, safety performance, product quality, cost control, employee communications, employee morale and productivity of your team.

• Implementing solutions to everyday challenges and being bold in thinking and approach to solving them.

• Monitors production rates, yields, and quality of products daily and determines, using Lean methodology, opportunities to improve manufacturing capabilities through continuous improvement.

• Supports and leads cross functional teams to execute projects and initiatives.

• Willingness to be on-call (interest question)

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Operations Management (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and One (1) years of Manufacturing or Production leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment

-OR-

• High School/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and Five (5) years of Manufacturing or Production leadership experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• LSS Green Belt Certification

• Three (3) years of manufacturing or production experience in a private, public, government or military environment with ISO 13485 certification

• Skills include - Lean Manufacturing, SAP, Strong communication skills, project management, time management, collaborative, people leadership, change management

Work location:

• Monroe, NC

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

This position requires the ability to work during the 2nd shift

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
