Production Operator (Aberdeen, SD)

• Supporting production by monitoring processes, ordering inputs, loading semi-finished materials, inspecting materials, and performing quality inspections to release product

• Operate automated production converting, assembly, and packaging equipment

• Monitor process, order inputs, load semi-finished materials, inspect materials, perform quality inspections to release product

• Operate equipment in safe manner

• Follow plant and department safety rules and practices

• Work closely with other operators, and service groups to optimize process including timeliness of product flow

• Monitor equipment and make required adjustments to maintain quality and desired output.

• Computer use is required to run process operation

• Meet performance/output goals

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start)

• Interested in and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled which includes working 8 to 12 consecutive hours per day on a weekly rotating shift (i.e. Week 1: 4pm-midnight, Week 2: 8am-4pm) or a fixed midnight shift (i.e. midnight-8am).

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Ability to operate computers to run process improvements

The starting rate of pay for this position is $21.28/hour. This targeted compensation range represents a good faith estimate and can vary based on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
