As a Senior Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Contributing to the technology roadmap for digital systems technologies and platforms.

• Specifying, designing, and participating in the development of state-of-the-art software technology platforms utilizing Python and data analysis technologies for the use in the Oral Care and Healthcare market globally.

• Being an active member of high performing software development and AI/Machine Learning teams in an agile environment.

• Contributing to and influencing cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and integrate with newly emerging technologies across 3M Healthcare.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university

OR

• High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience in software development

• Eight (8) years of software development experience in a private, public, government or military environment

• Five (5) years of software development experience in Python

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Demonstrated skills in software engineering methodology including documentation, configuration management, unit testing, verification and validation, and commercialization.

• Experience with programming languages and libraries such as Python, NumPy, Pandas and C++ to implement data analysis and software solutions

• Experience with SQL, data extraction and data analysis in a cloud environment

• Collaborating with other software architects, software engineers, quality engineers, and other team members to design and build solutions that best fit the requirements.

• Experience with dataset generation for AI/ML models

• Practical experience developing AI/ML models applied to a specific problem

• Experience visualizing and analyzing complex multi-dimensional data from large datasets

• Experience with distributed version control systems, such as Git

• Experience with Agile development methodologies

• Demonstrated problem solving and analysis skills with the ability to work independently and with distributed teams.

• Self-motivated with a proven track record of learning and adapting to new technology
