Here, you will make an impact by:
Ensuring all EHS practices and procedures are followed to drive a very high level of awareness and importance in every employee on site
Monitor and direct associates to ensure product is received, stored and shipped according to standard operating procedures
Constantly monitor workflow and direct associates to ensure safety, productivity and quality standards are met
Assist in the development of annual operational budgets for site operations. Participate in development of annual forecast and drive operational cost and productivity improvements
Establishes and monitor operational performance on a daily and weekly basis. Work with operational supervisors to implement action plans to correct operational deficiencies as required
Work with 3M Corporate Transportation and Distribution Operations group to ensure carrier performance and operational improvement initiatives
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of Five (5) combined years experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations or distribution operations in a private, public, government, or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt trained and certified
Minimum of five (5) years distribution center or warehouse experience
Skills including budget management, operational KPI monitoring and control
Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or data mining skills
Demonstrated coaching, interpersonal communication, and team leadership skills
History of successfully applying business knowledge to support business needs and goals. Initiates, leads, and implements the process of distribution operations problem identification and resolution
Strong systems background, including ERP/SAP/EWM
Willingness to obtain knowledge of applicable software
Self-motivated in ambiguous and autonomous role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Assertive, organized, and detail oriented
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
Experience in supplier management negotiation skills
Travel: May include up to 10% travel
