    Position summary

    odel for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Power Protection Agile Unit in Napier. You will be mainly accountable for: • Sharing best practice and know-how and developing standards and guidelines on how to develop and optimize firmware of the Power Protection portfolio and hone firmware design capabilities. • Acting as a coach with deep expertise related to the chapter and ensuring that chapter members have appropriate competencies and skills and receive regular updates on new developments during alignment meetings on chapter specific topics, both on technical and R&D processes-related topics. • Developing the following skills inside the team: Firmware development for power conditioning, real-time controls, signal processing, control loop stability, state machine, operating systems, user-machine interface, communications, connectivity, cybersecurity, and related firmware architecture. • Build competencies in the team about programming practices, simulation, commissioning products, and firmware architecture design. • Leading the recruitment process of new chapter members and support appropriate staffing across agile units in accordance with relevant stakeholders • Conducting performance review of chapter members collecting input from relevant stakeholders
    Qualifications for the role

    • Preferred more than 5 years of experience in R&D firmware development using C, C++, and assembly languages as well as 5 or more years of experience in leading or mentoring teams in R&D development
    • Master's degree in engineering preferred.
    • Strong problem solving and debugging skills and preferred experience with power electronics and control hardware.
    • Preferred experience with power systems, on site commissioning, and experience in a lab setting with power testing and test equipment.
    • Strong consultancy, analytical and communication skills demonstrated in a good servant leadership practice.
    • Proven stakeholder management ability preferably in a multicultural environment.
    • Fluency in English.
