This position reports to
Engineering Manager- Metals
Your responsibilities
Responsible for medium voltage drives (ACS6000/6080) commissioning
Implement & follow the testing/commissioning procedure for the project
Implement & follow the safety procedure during testing & commissioning
Responsible for technical solutions during testing & commissioning
Responsible for preparing progress & problem reports on a daily & weekly basis
Required to co-ordinate with European factories for engineering & testing of drives
Your background
Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering required
10 plus years of industrial engineering and commissioning experience required
Metals industry/projects engineering and commissioning experience preferred
Medium voltage drives like ABB ACS6000/6080 or similar drives commissioning certification is preferred
Having ABB ACS800, DCS800 & ACS880 low voltage drive engineering & commissioning experience is advantageous
Approximately 70 percent travel, including international
Having ABB or another PLC knowledge is advantageous
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
