We are now looking for a professional who is able to take the position of HREX IS Project and Release Manager. This role will focus on organizing IS project management team to deliver IS related activities for HREX projects and programs. Apart from orchestrating demand and capacity management, person in this role will also have to play a role of active Project Manager (if needed). Additionally, as part of overall build activities within HREX, there is a need to govern ITIL Change Management by organizing and maintaining Change Advisory Board and liaison with ABB IS Change Management standards and policies. Close collaboration with HREX Build and Run Lead will be essential. You will be mainly accountable for: Responsible for overseeing the successful delivery and execution of projects and release plans, and for ensuring ITIL Change Management standardization across all HREX model. Oversees execution and handover of all IS projects impacting the HR Experience Organization. Manages and assigns a team of Project Managers to work on required projects (onboarding new applications, system upgrades, M&A activities within IS, etc.) as part of the portfolio and is accountable for the IS CAB activities. Makes sures that ABB IS Project Management policies are followed. • Works with Technical Service Owners to understand overall demand and specific requirements for new IS related projects. • Directs IS Project Manager's work and coordinate overall capacity. • Coordinates projects execution, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. • Oversees Release Management activities from an IS perspective for the HR Experience Organization by managing CAB Release Coordinator role. • Foster an environment of continuous improvement, support change initiatives, and provide status updates. • Define project scope, budget, and resources, monitor risks, and ensure efficient resource utilization. Develop plans to manage risks. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders inside and outside the HREX Organization, provide timely updates, and manage expectations. Act as the primary contact for project issues. • Ensure projects adhere to sound methodologies and execution practices, contribute to policy improvements, and align with standard project management directives and procedures used in ABB IS. Locations are flexible for IS and HR roles. For IS roles, India and Mexico are the two preferred locations, while HR role holders will be expected to collaborate with teams in European and US EST time zones. Ultimately, we'll hire the most qualified candidate for each role.
    Qualifications for the role

    • Experience: Over 8 years in IS, including IS Project Management and Service Management

    • Proven experience in any Project Management type of role.

    • Experience in managing teams as direct manager or at least during long term projects.

    • Project Management certificates (ABB internal and external) will be considered as valuable assets

    • ITIL understanding and certification preferred.

    • Stakeholder and Team Management: Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and multiple groups, as well as global teams.

    • Communication and Influence: Strong skills in effective communication, influencing, and negotiating to gain stakeholder buy-in.

    • Process Improvement and Optimization: Previous experience in improving and optimizing processes.

    • Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills, especially in a fast-paced environment.

    • Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Ability to develop long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals, foresee industry trends, analyze complex data, and make informed decisions.

    • Change Management and Adaptability - ability to work with tight deadlines and with numerous projects in portfolio.

    For US candidates only: While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between USD 111'300 and USD 206'700 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
