    Position summary

nsibilities will be part of your role: • Build simulation models and digital twins of complex mechanical systems using Multibody Dynamics and Finite Element simulation tools. • Create models of different complexity (from analytical to full 3D FEM simulations) for real-world actuation systems, considering their transient behavior and control. • Design and test new prototypes in our lab. Set up advanced test rigs with the cooperation of the prototyping team, define the testing concept, and evaluate/interpret measurement results. • Apply your own ideas to optimize actual hardware solutions and/or simulation processes used in the design. • Collaborate with our team members and learn about new technological trends and future control and protection devices. • Document and present scientific results in a professional environment at ABB.
    Qualifications for the role

    • You are studying for a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field.
    • You have good knowledge and experience in one or more of the following fields: Applied Mechanics, Mechatronics, Multibody Dynamics Simulation, Finite Element Analysis and Design, Prototyping and Testing of Mechatronic/Mechanical Systems.
    • You are experienced in at least one of the following software packages: ANSYS, Adams, MATLAB/Simulink, SolidWorks, LabVIEW.
    • You are fluent in English (written and oral).
