Regional Support Engineer

nical advice and provide comment on enquiry specifications, supporting the Business Development and LSU teams in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology Prepare technical and knowledge based publications for the global/regional support community (FAQ's, engineering guides, tutorials) based on support requirements and solution knowledge Work with ABB's Smart Building cross-functional teams to define and validate new products and sustain engineering product development efforts
Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Technical Certification is preferred, with a minimum of 5 plus years of experience in technical product support within the Smart Building, industrial automation industries or service environment (international)
• Direct customer support and/or technical project management experience required, preferably servicing HVAC Building Automation Systems and/or digital applications
• Experience with integration of low-voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and TCP-IP, as well as knowledge of, or certification in, Niagara AX or N4.
• Knowledge of Teletrol or American Auto-Matrix PUP protocols preferred.
• Excellent computer competency required, including strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, basic IT networking skills and familiarity with internet-based applications.
• Ability to travel domestically and within the Americas region (10-15%)
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
