    • Assess the customer/broker request and determine acceptable coverage that addresses the customer`s critical insurance and service needs.
    • Perform exposure and experience analysis on treaty risks.
    • Compile underwriting submission data elements.
    • Assess proposed structure, the treaty insurance company`s operations and anticipated hazards, losses, expenses, financial strength, loss experience, and other underwriting considerations.
    • Evaluate treaty contract and contract language, and manage documentation workflow.
    • Cultivate business relationships with assigned brokers as well as internal and external clients to retain and place profitable business for the segment.
    • Recommend program participation that achieves our desired goals, including long-term profitability and risk transfer determined by enterprise risk appetites.
    • Perform client audits to ensure treaty business processes align with terms of contract and our goals.
    • Manage assumed and treaty reinsurance projects of varying complexity.

    Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

    • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of financial pricing models, methodology, and tools.
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of reinsurance industry, underwriting standards, and competitive practices.
    • Demonstrated experience encouraging relationships with internal and external contacts.
    • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects.
    • Solid knowledge and understanding of profitability, growth, and risk concepts.
    • Solid knowledge and understanding of advanced financial and statistical analysis techniques including actuarial techniques.

    Preferred Experience:

    • 3+ years Casualty Reinsurance Underwriting experience.

    • Up to 25%.

    In this hybrid role you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month out of one of the following locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034.
