Role is located at Tyson, HQ in Mclean, VA with a required office presence - 100% of the time during trainings and 80% of the time when not running training sessions
Responsibilities:
Serve as a subject matter expert in the Appian platform and associated solutions with in-depth knowledge of development and deployment practices
Deliver first-class training and facilitation- both formal and informal - for workshops and learning experiences to audiences varying in size, expertise, and role
Deliver engaging, actionable technical instruction on developing with the Appian platform
Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to help create and deliver world-class education programs that guide Appian practitioners and customers to successful outcomes
Oversee test and evaluations for internal and external student as it relates to product enablement programs
Provide feedback on student performance, needs, and serve as an advocate for developers as it relates to product enhancement and priorities
Perform of administrative functions as necessary to deliver and document learning and development programs, including enrollments, training reports, stakeholder management, and session scheduling
Execute training on short notice to cover other instructors, topics, and locations according to the schedule and needs of the business
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
5 - 8 years of professional training experience in a fast paced technical environment
Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills across written, live, and remote video methods
Technical background with high or low-code skills, or similar with logical thinking (i.e. HTML, CSS, Python, Java, Javascript, or very strong Microsoft Excel skills)
Strong project management skills in Agile environments
1+ years of experience with e-learning, online, or learning management tools
Familiar with ADDIE methodology and web-based tools to enhance virtual training
Experience leading and delivering technical/software related training to various employee functions - engineering, product, pre-sales, customer success
Able and willing to travel up to 50%, including international, on short notice.
