    Be a strong advocate for the customer experience

    Take ownership of solving problems and deliver solutions on time

    Communicate and coordinate with teams and stakeholders

    Participate in design and code reviews

    Assist with various team and system support needs

    Preferred Qualifications

    Strong understanding of common data structures and algorithms

    Hands on experience writing strong object-oriented code including creating frameworks, modular and testable software

    Working knowledge of cryptography standards and protocols (e.g.. PKCS, KMIP, X.509, AES, KDF, CA)

    Very strong in leading others and hands-on in programming, system design, and problem solving

    Experience driving release decisions, scoping work, and driving bug convergence

    Experience in cross team collaboration and communication across multiple timezones

    Able to work in an ambiguous and highly interdependent work environment to get things done in an efficient and tactful way

    Ability to thrive in a multi-functional team on high-profile, critical projects

    Minimum Qualifications

    3+ years of engineering management experience leading iOS, macOS, or systems-level development teams

    8+ years of software/firmware development experience with strong expertise in Swift/Objective-C/C/C++

    Ability to take ownership, identify requirements, prioritize and make progress in an environment with limited given input

    Proven track record of shipping complex software products and frameworks

    Experience in device bringup, software development with concurrent programming, multi-threading, and distributed systems

    Strategic thinking with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

    Ability to be in office Monday through Thursday

    Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $198,300 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
