    hardware and software teams throughout Apple as well as our developer ecosystem to deliver

    ever more functionality that is deeply integrated with iOS, watchOS and all the rest without

    sacrificing privacy, power, or performance.

    Description

    As a member of the team, youʼll have the opportunity to work cross-functionally to expand the

    functionality of the Health app and HealthKit framework. We collaborate across Apple feature

    teams, hardware teams, domain experts like doctors and fitness experts, and our third party

    developer ecosystem. Our primary responsibilities are delivering new health and fitness

    features, designing solutions for distributed health data storage, performance, OS integration,

    Designing and tuning features for use by millions of users on power and performance

    constrained devices.

    Designing and delivering comprehensive test suites in collaboration with our quality assurance and engineering teams.

    Designing logical, scalable, forward-thinking APIs that serve our developersʼ needs.

    Participating in peer review of architecture, API, and individual software changes.

    Collaborating with and advising other teams across Apple, including Design, Privacy, and Security, as well as domain experts in health and fitness.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with distributed systems design and development

    Experience with SQL and database technologies

    Experience delivering libraries, frameworks or APIs

    Familiarity with Fitness, Wellness or Medical concepts

    Minimum Qualifications

    BS Computer Science or equivalent experience

    Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals

    2 years of experience working in Objective-C, Swift, C++ or similar high level programming languages

    Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures

    Experience in object-oriented architecture and design

    Understanding of systems-level concepts like multi-threading and interprocess communication

    Experience with debugging tools and performance tuning

    Knowledge of iOS programming and one or more Apple technologies such as Grand Central Dispatch, CloudKit, or XPC Activity/Services

    Strong communication skills, including ability to collaborate in a diversity of backgrounds and experiences

    Willingness to learn and improve, and also mentor and support other team members

    Highly organized, maintaining patience and composure to effectively operate within ambiguity
