proof-of-concept evaluations and issue resolution. In this role, the incumbent will also support event-operations teams on live-streaming services. This role will consult on the setup and maintenance of live encoding workflows. You will also work with client teams to ensure features are performing as intended across devices. You will be challenged to diagnose and troubleshoot live video delivery issues with urgency. This role will also work with support teams to craft issue communication with leadership. Troubleshoot complex partner and vendor integrations. Creating, maintaining and executing playbooks, RCAs, and integration specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Network design and troubleshooting
Some scripting experience (Python, Bash)
Familiar with data interchange formats (XML, JSON)
Familiar with SCTE-35/104 and SCTE-224/ESNI
Experience analyzing system logs
Experience with broadcast command and control integration
This role will require occasional after-hours and weekend support.
Experience working on data pipelines for log collection and monitoring
Experience with issue tracking and technical documentation.
Expertise designing, integrating and operating broadcast infrastructure
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years experience
Ability to effectively work with cross functional teams to understand requirements and design of highly performant video and media systems using IP based infrastructure, such as SMPTE-2110 and SMPTE-2022-7
Deep understanding of live production technologies and buildout of large scale infrastructures focused on live broadcast systems
Experience with video monitoring tools (Video and transport quality monitoring)
Expertise with live streaming encoding technologies and transport networks (J2K, JPXS, MPEG, SRT and HLS Protocols)
Experience with 4k, HDR and ATMOS in live transmission and streaming environments
This role requires full-time, in-office attendance

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
