What You'll Do
As a Financial Analyst for our Applied Global Services group in Applied Materials you will be responsible for value-add financial support to cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of financial and operational goals of our Spares and Service business.
This role is located at our European Finance Headquarters in Hoofddorp, Netherlands and is a permanent full-time position.
Role Responsibilities:
Responsible for the in quarter or actual activities for our spares and service divisions, which also includes becoming a business partner for Field Service Organization (FSO), and Sales in managing the overall P&L performance for Service and Spares business
Ensures the accurate and timely recording of revenue-related transactions in accordance with the Company's revenue recognition policy.
Analyses and tracks revenue and cost streams against budget, prepares reports and trend analysis on a periodic basis and provides narrative and follow up actions to key stakeholders
Tracks labour hour trends to analyse utilization of workforce
Tracks spares consumption against forecast, and provide analysis accordingly
Analyses movements in gross margin of customer service contracts and provides explanation of variances to budget and proposes corrective actions if and when needed
Performs the monthly close tasks, including revenue accruals, deferred revenue management, spending reviews, margin reviews, account reconciliations and other duties as necessary
Owns SOX controls in the areas of revenue and cost
Supports internal and external audits and the preparation of the quarterly balance sheet review package
Identifies process improvement opportunities to drive time and cost efficiencies

Strong financial technical expertise,

Strong customer service focus
Ability to interact with multiple levels of the organization ranging from line level to senior management
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbally and in writing)
Strong time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent computer skills: SAP and Microsoft suites (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), and knowledge in Tableau is a plus
Advanced Knowledge of the English language

Education and Experience:
Bachelor or Master in Finance, Business Controlling or Accounting
3+ years of experience in a Financial analysis/Business Controlling position
