As a Manufacturing Technician, you'll work hands-on in a cleanroom environment to build and test our multimillion-dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment that's behind the technology we use every day. You'll be responsible for building, repairing, and testing various types of equipment--including electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components. You will perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repairs-- and perform audits to ensure necessary parts are available and inspected for defects. Using test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps you'll test assemblies, complete documentation, perform repairs, or install software to continuously improve our processes.
Key Responsibilities
With a 100% cleanroom/manufacturing floor presence, conduct on the job training (OJT) and coaching with new hires and existing staff on standard procedures, workmanship and safety through iOMS.
Needs Assessment: Identify skill gaps and training needs through the use of OJT2.
Safety and Quality Focus: promote safety and quality standards through daily observation and coaching with new hires
Velocity: work with new hires across multiple business units to accelerate time to contribution (TTC) for each new hire over first twelve weeks on manufacturing floor.
Continuous Improvement: stay updated on new coaching techniques and drive enhancements in training of new hires across the site.
Workmanship Observations and Audits: Evaluate workmanship practices to standard and develop trends within each business unit and across the site.
6S Champion: Evaluate 6S practices and make recommendations to the team on best known practices and improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
Assist line leads in developing training plans for each new hire to develop skills at most efficient rates while providing most impact to the line.
Build and/or test product based on skills as business needs warrant.
Requirements
Relevant qualifications in Engineering or related studies
3 - 5 years of working experiences in semiconductor/ manufacturing industry, preferably in cleanroom environment
Passionate in knowledge sharing and training
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to commit Monday - Friday (7am - 4.30pm)
