Job Summary:

In this role, you will plan architectural layout, prepare detailed design and layout drawings for small structures. You will use 2-D/3-D computer-aided design (CAD) to help prepare architectural designs and construction drawings. You will help prepare forecasts, quantity take-offs, and change orders. Your recommendations of design drawings will help ensure architecture complies with requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

• Plans architectural layout, prepares detailed architectural design and layout drawings for small structures

• Assists in the preparation specifications and related documents

• Prepares building material interface details for review by senior personnel

• Participates in reviews and recommends approval of design drawings and data for compliance with requirements

• Assists in the preparation of architectural designs and construction drawings using 2-D / 3-D computer aided design (CAD), presentation graphics and architectural models

• Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines

• Participates in studies that require knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in architectural work

• Assists in preparation of forecasts, quantity take-offs and change orders

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• What are the most important knowledge and skills (includes technical skills) that are needed UPON ENTRY to do the job successfully?

• What 3 to 5 KEY factors (ex. prior experience) should be used to determine qualification for the position?
