    Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel's capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.

    Job Summary:

    In this role, you will be responsible for estimating, analysis and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skill. You will prepare cost studies, review cost trends, and develop and implement project requirements for cost control. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Performs generally non-routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities.

    • Coordinates the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports

    • Coordinates the development and accuracy of cost reports

    • Verifies consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency

    • Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures

    • Investigates the requirements for estimating and/or cost control data

    • Collects and classifies cost data

    • Performs budget allocation and reporting/cost control regime for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines

    • Identifies cost trends for management attention

    • Prepares cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisons

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

    Required Knowledge and Skills:

    • Interprets complex, high-volume, and sometimes conflicting information to solve problems effectively

    • Interprets and applies key financial indicators to support better business decisions

    • Holds self and others accountable for meeting commitments

    • Applies business and market knowledge to advance organisational goals.

    • Plans and prioritises work to meet commitments aligned with organisational goals

    • Anticipates and adopts innovations in digital and technology applications that support business growth
