Ensures and reviews SEC and PEZA reportorial requirements
Monitors and ensures compliance to statutory reporting deadlines
Manages resolutions BIR audits assessments, and notices
Provides advice and simulations on tax related matters, tax saving measures, and lowering tax-related risks and exposures
Proactively provides tax updates and discusses possible impact to the Company
Ensures PEZA compliance for utilization of fiscal incentives
Performs account analysis and reconciliations and monitors adherence to deadlines
Closely works and collaborates with US counterparts for US regulatory requirements, timelines, raises issues and clarifications as well as follow-throughs on the results
Manages the annual process level assessments of the process
Collaborates with other finance teams and across LOBs, as needed, for smooth execution of end to end operations and provide support as necessary
Other job related tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
5 years Tax experience, with 3 years in a managerial role
Preferably with experience from Big 4 accounting firm
Preferably with experience in managing compliance with PEZA reportorial requirements
PEZA experience
Knowledge of standard accounting policies and procedures
Knowledge in PeopleSoft or any Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Knowledge of Software/applications (SAP, Oracle) is an advantage
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, Word PowerPoint, Gsuites)
Amenable to work in a mid shift schedule
Amenable to work in Alabang
