    Job Purpose and Impact

    The Chemist I, will conduct chemical analysis and experiments related to product safety. In this role, you will make certain products meet or exceed customer requirements related to quality and product safety within multiple areas of the organization, including product safety, process management, data management, quality systems, analytics and instrumentation.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Cross functionally work with teams to build, maintain and improve an effective product safety, quality and regulatory culture.

    • Collect, analyze and document test data to make sure products meet customer requirements, quality standards and/ or regulatory/ statutory requirements.

    • Determine if manufactured batches meet quality requirements and final release.

    • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Written and verbal communication skills

    • Basic knowledge of food safety industry practices and standards

    • Scientific and mathematical knowledge

    • One or more year of work experience in a research field

    • SAP, HPLC, GPC, Viscometer, Microsoft Office Applications

    The expected salary for this position is $30/hr. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
