    Position summary

    al to join our team as National Sales & Business Development Manager.

    As part of the Food Service Sales Team, the National Sales & Business Development Manager will lead, grow, and retain national core accounts across HORECA and OEM/private label retail customers. This role combines commercial account ownership and new business development to deliver profitable, sustainable growth, leveraging category insights, joint business planning (JBP), and cross-functional execution (R&D, Product Line, Supply Chain, Category, Strategic Pricing).

    Key Accountabilities

    • Own commercial performance and customer strategy for a defined national portfolio (HORECA chains, distributors, institutional caterers, and retail OEM/private label customers).

    • Partner with strategic pricing to negotiate and manage pricing, rebates, trading terms, tenders, and promotional grids to hit revenue and margin targets.

    • Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities across bakery, hotel groups, foodservice distributors, major caterers, and retail OEM/private label categories.

    • Lead RFP/RFQ responses, commercial modelling, and solution design (pack formats, formulations, co-manufacturing routes).

    • Partner with R&D to translate customer briefs into R&D-ready product requirements (sensory, allergen, shelf-life, regulatory).

    • Collect insights from customers and the external market to shape commercial strategy and define differentiated value proposition

    • Lead S&OP inputs from the customer front; manage risk/obsolescence and surge demand scenarios.

    • Ensure OTIF, DIFOT, and service level targets; resolve claims, credits, and root-cause issues.

    • Orchestrate Technical Service, FSQR, Product Line, Supply Chain, Strategic Pricing, Marketing to deliver customer commitments.

    • Build business cases, unit economics, and post-promo/post-launch reviews.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • 5-8+ years in National/Key Account Management or Business Development within Food & Beverage, Ingredients, Co-manufacturing/OEM, or Foodservice.

    • Proven success managing national HORECA/QSR chains and/or retail private label/OEM programs.

    • Strong negotiation across pricing, trade terms, and tender processes.

    • Tools: Excel/Sheets, CRM (e.g., Salesforce); comfortable with data and JBP decks.

    • Full driver's licence; ability to travel across ANZ.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Background in FMCG, food manufacturing, foodservice distribution, culinary, or operations.

    • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, Commerce, Food Science or related field.

    • Experience leading NPD/commercialisation with R&D/QA and supply-chain.
