under limited supervision for routine situations, this job assists with administrative issues to ensure the organization's trade operations are compliant through various documentation procedures.
Key Accountabilities
OPERATIONAL EXECUTION: Performs routine clerical and administrative tasks, including cross border clearance execution, filing export declarations with customs and other government agencies and supporting validation and coordination of export transactional requirements applying to all documents and data, according to defined procedures and controls to preserve value and mitigate risk.
DOCUMENTATION REVIEW: Prepares and reviews trade documents, including invoices, preferential trade documentation, shipping documents, export licenses and other cross-border documents to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with legal and fiscal requirements.
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Collaborates with internal and external partners to implement new trade compliance operations solutions.
METRICS ANALYSIS: Collects, processes, priorities, analyses and reports on global trade and compliance data to facilitate cross border execution and analysis.
DATA ENTRY & MANAGEMENT: Maintains customs master files and records to support compliance with information management policies.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated client/customer focus role and strong relationship builder
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office, expert in Microsoft Excel
International commercial terms knowledge
Experience managing SAP and global trade services
