    Role overview

CarGurus is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Dealer Engagement Platform (DEP) to lead the transformation of our next-generation dealer-facing platform into a fast, modern, and thoughtfully designed experience. The DEP serves as the foundation for how dealers interact with our ecosystem, powering engagement, insights, and growth across our suite of tools.

This role will shape the user-facing architecture and experience that unifies dealer workflows across CarGurus. You'll drive a vision for a platform that's not only scalable and extensible but also delightful, performant, and easy to iterate on - enabling rapid product innovation and cohesive dealer experiences.

As the product owner for the DEP, you'll collaborate closely with Engineering, UX, Product Analytics, and cross-functional product teams to define a platform that brings consistency, flexibility, and speed to every dealer interaction.

    What you'll do

    • Own the vision and roadmap for the Dealer Engagement Platform, driving a fast, intuitive, and modern experience built on strong usability and performance principles.

    • Evolve the DEP's design system and component architecture to enable rapid iteration, visual consistency, and seamless reuse across dealer-facing products.

    • Collaborate with UX and Engineering to ensure the platform reflects best-in-class layout, interaction, and responsive design practices.

    • Partner with dealer product teams to identify shared needs and accelerate delivery through scalable, reusable front-end components and unified workflows.

    • Balance quick usability improvements with long-term platform scalability and technical excellence, ensuring a foundation that supports continuous innovation.

    • Champion a cohesive visual and interaction language across all dealer experiences, ensuring every touchpoint feels unified, modern, and easy to use.

    What you'll bring

    • 5-7+ years of product management experience, including ownership of front-end platforms, design systems, or user-facing product foundations.

    • Proven success in building modern, performant, and extensible front-end architectures that enable fast iteration and consistent user experiences.

    • Strong understanding of user management, roles and permissions, and how these underpin cohesive multi-product ecosystems.

    • Deep collaboration experience with UX and Engineering to deliver scalable, reusable components and intuitive design patterns.

    • Ability to translate technical and design decisions into business impact, driving alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Strategic, systems-level thinking with a bias for action-balancing immediate usability wins with long-term platform evolution.

    • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills within a matrixed, cross-functional environment.

    • Familiarity with marketplace or B2B SaaS platforms; automotive or retail industry experience is a plus.
