Leadership & Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage the events team to ensure the successful execution of all events. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Weekly Meetings: Lead weekly BEO (Banquet Event Order) all-hands meetings to ensure effective communication, anticipate atypical event execution, and issue and receive critical challenges. Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with full-time direct reports.
Scheduling: Work with the AGM (Assistant General Manager) to ensure optimal staff scheduling for events.
Event Execution: Lead and execute events in the absence of the Event Lead, ensuring all aspects of the event run smoothly and meet client expectations.
SOP Improvement: Implement changes to standard operating procedures as necessary to streamline event operations and ensure consistency and quality
Pricing Structure: Monitor event pricing structure, making updates when necessary to maximize event bookings. Pay close attention to local holidays and trends that affect pricing, such as the Derby, Conventions, Music Festivals, etc.
Menu Development & Pricing: Collaborate with beverage and culinary managers to develop event menus and pricing strategies that align with client needs and company goals.
Sales & Prospecting: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase event bookings. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Community Engagement: Actively engage with the local community and industry to promote Copper & Kings Distillery as a premier event venue. Participate in community events and networking opportunities such as Butchertown Business Alliance, Louisville Tourism, and DMC's.
Industry Trends: Study industry trends to keep the distillery's event offerings relevant and competitive.
Internal Event Development: Conceptualize and develop yearly internal events such as Thunder Over Louisville, Brandy for Butterflies, Bash at Butchertown, etc. Including vendor acquisition, ticketing, marketing, event execution, financial P&L, etc.
Event Calendar Management: Maintain proximity to the Tripleseat event calendar and leads with an eye to continually improve client communications, the booking process, and the financial closing process.
Sales Goals: Take responsibility for meeting sales goals and driving revenue growth through effective event management and client engagement.
TripleSeat Reporting: Utilize TripleSeat reporting to understand incoming lead trends, progress towards sales goals, event payments, and more.
TripleSeat Education: Gain extensive knowledge of the TripleSeat platform to manage all aspects, including document creation, third-party payment integration, site settings, lead form generation, and more.
Cash Management & Deposits: Process cash change orders and check deposits. Record deposits in finance OneDrive and Tripleseat
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years' experience in event planning or related field
Minimum 1 year in supervisory or leadership role.
Bachelor's Degree in event management, hospitality, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
Passion for hospitality and events with a willingness to consistently execute and maintain standards to produce the best experience for our guests
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, as well as restaurant reservation, POS and event management software.
Demonstrate a high level of accountability and ability to meet multiple deadlines
Strong organizational and time management skills
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evening, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Physical Requirements: The employee frequently is required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and bending are required.
Work Environment: Working conditions at an event may require the employee to be outside for extended periods of time and/or occasionally in a kitchen with slippery floors. Irregular shifts, nights, weekends, and long hours may be required, particularly when working an event.

The salary range for this role is:
$61,700.00 - $90,600.00
