    Position summary

    he Legal Operations Systems & Analytics Principal Team Leader. To succeed in this role, the candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of data, statistical analysis, reporting and data visualization to help investigate and analyze business performance, provide insights, and drive recommendations to improve performance.

    Responsibilities

    Regular job responsibilities include:

    • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Legal Department data and industry best practices as well as understand interaction of Legal Department with broader business

    • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Chick-fil-A's business and the restaurant industry, including use and calculation of relevant Key Performance Indicators and benchmarks

    • Creation of Tableau and/or ThoughtSpot type visualizations, finding and building data to be retrieved via SQL, and data curation via Alteryx or similar tools for dashboard presentations or ad hoc analyses

    • Develop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse and standardize data in order to generate insights and address reporting needs

    • Utilize programming and analytical tools such as Python and SQL to extract insights

    • Identify and troubleshoot data integration and integrity issues

    • Identify opportunities to maximize data usage, applying modeling and optimization methods to develop new strategies and improve business performance

    • Responsible for designing, building, deploying and maintaining reports and dashboards that empower teams to make data driven and insights informed decisions, including the area of annual planning

    • Define data requirements, gather and validate information using judgment and statistical tests

    • Persuasively recommend insights-informed action to leaders and peers across multiple business areas

    • Work comfortably with simple and complex datasets that span multiple areas of the organization, and understand how to blend and model data effectively

    • Solve complex analytics problems requiring synthesis of diverse inputs from internal and external sources through the application of a comprehensive suite of descriptive and diagnostic methods and select predictive methods, with minimal oversight

    • Confidently leverage a broad suite of standard analytics tooling that may require unique or complex integrations across systems while coaching others to do the same, including Tableau, Alteryx, ThoughtSpot and Business Objects to build data queries and visualizations to answer key business questions for the department

    • Act as Subject Matter Expert for standard data usage patterns, analytics tooling and analytic methods and procedures while coaching others within the analytics community to do the same

    • Use analytical and technical skills to identify and report on trends related to all department data and assist team leads with predictive analysis for strategic planning using those trends

    • Partner with leaders of strategic work to solve complex business problems and influence project execution, specifically focusing on LEAN initiatives, self-service analytics, and workflow automation

    • Communicate findings and analysis to a non-technical audience

    • Create and analyze survey data for legal practice teams using statistical analysis to extract insights

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • Proficient with Tableau or similar data visualization tools

    • Comfort with Alteryx or similar ETL platforms

    • Strong SQL programming skills

    • Strong applied knowledge of basic statistical concepts, data governance best practices, principles, and procedures

    • Demonstrated ability to produce scalable and repeatable analytic processes

    • Demonstrated ability to partner with peers and leaders using strong written and verbal communication

    • Ability to effectively present information

    • Strong understanding of data visualization methods

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Fast learner with a desire to gain new and improve existing analytic skills

    • Comfort and ability to ask questions and seek assistance when necessary

    • Superior skills working with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Office 365 and similar collaboration and document management tools

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    • Ability to balance and execute several projects and on-going responsibilities simultaneously, with limited supervision and in an agile environment

    • Ability to identify problems and use a broad perspective to drive solutions

    • Unquestioned discretion handling confidential information

    • Positive attitude and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working within an operations function such as Legal

    • Experience with iManage, TeamConnect, DocuSign CLM+

    • Experience providing data or analytical support for a Legal Department

    • General awareness of a breadth of cloud computing concepts and capabilities

    • Strong statistical programming skills in R or Python
