The Principal Technical Program Lead of Location Data Products designs and implements necessary role clarity, priority, process, and implementation requirements on technically complex projects, focusing on maximizing the value of their Location Data Products by developing cross-functional solutions with input from multiple parties across the business and DTT sub-department stakeholders. They must be able to influence the strategic direction and impact of DTT sub-departments and their related programs, projects, and outcomes, while overseeing the availability of high-quality, broadly consumable, and discoverable Location Data Products for consumption across the many lines of business that interact with the Location Data Products.
Our Principal Technical Program Lead of Location Data Products typically work with extensive latitude for action or decisions on projects that are very complex and cross-functional in nature, acting as a subject-matter-expert for specific Location Data Products, while facilitating the lifecycle of data-as-a-product by influencing the project prioritization and execution of multiple DTT sub-department teams and business data & analytics teams ranging from source data availability to product delivery to outcomes. Their role is to optimize data formats and structures, and to identify the best policies and practices for maximizing the value of our organization's Location Data Products. This role wrangles large amounts of data into consumable information that can be accessed in real-time to guide decision-making and insights for the entire organization, from Operators to Team Members to Staff to Customers. This role requires expert knowledge of both business and technology acumen to apply the right people, process, and technology to meet the stakeholder requirements and must influence this plan across multiple teams with the end goal to create a vision and communicate how all of the pieces will ultimately come together. The Principal Technical Program Lead of Data Products is a strategic leader with the ability to mentor, collaborate, and build rapport with other data & analytics teams and business partners to effectively influence organizational data strategy and decisions.
Successful candidates for this role must have strong analytical and data modeling skills, a deep understanding of data product lifecycle, database technology and data use within analytic platforms, and they must have strong strategic thinking, communication, and project management skills, including prioritization and the ability to make difficult trade-off decisions. We expect our Principal Technical Program Lead of Data Products to have demonstrated fluency and competency across the technical-functional spectrum, able to effectively interface with diverse audiences including DTT, insights analysts, data scientists, and other business leaders. They should have experience developing and implementing data models for broad business use and a moderate level of experience with cloud database architecture. They will need to be fast learners with a keen eye for detail, systems thinking, and process design. They must be team players who work steadfastly to create impactful change.

Responsibilities
The person who fills this role will be expected to do the following as a part of their regular work responsibilities:
Align business and DTT sub-department stakeholders to translate business logic into scalable data and analytic solutions on complex projects, from source system enhancements to data product consumption.
Cast vision and strategy for data products based on stakeholder feedback and manage data product roadmaps.
Coordinate data product team delivery, including backlog management, to develop and deliver high-quality, consumable, and discoverable data products for broad business use.
Develop and advise on data product best practices for integration into analytical and operational practices, including documentation and communication strategy.
Ensure data consistency, integration, and availability through quality review and relevant documentation.
Implement data governance and master data management principles across the data product lifecycle.
Provide expert technical leadership on data architecture and design issues impacting data products, supporting enterprise decision-making and insights.
Act as a subject-matter-expert on domain-specific data issues for downstream consumers, proactively communicating issues and resolutions.
Drive highly complex projects to success and enable others to own the impact.
Identify capability gaps and opportunities and provide feedback to the Data Programs team for future capability development.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in MIS, Decision Sciences, Engineering, Business Analytics, Computer Science or other similar fields
6+ years of experience
Has strong analytical and data modeling skills
Has a deep understanding of database technology
Has a deep understanding of analytic platform data use
Has experience developing and implementing data models for broad business consumption
Has moderate experience with cloud database architecture
Experience in data architecture and design, for both structured and unstructured data; data modeling, architecting and delivering highly-scalable and flexible, cost-effective, cloud-based enterprise data solutions.
Deep database knowledge and proficient with SQL
Experience developing software code in one or more programming languages (i.e. Python); understanding of Apache Spark/Hadoop, relational and NoSQL databases.
Experience with data analytics, BI, data reporting and visualization, all aspects of data management: data governance, data mastering, data warehousing, database management, and meta-data management.
Experience designing and implementing data ingestion techniques for real-time and batch data pipelines from disparate data sources.
Experience with ETL tools.
Experience with the agile development methodology.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in MIS, Decision Sciences, Engineering, Business Analytics, Computer Science or other similar fields
8+ years of experience
Has strong programming skills in SQL and/or Python
Has strong experience using the AWS big data technology stack
Has extensive experience with Alteryx or similar ETL platforms
Has extensive experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
Has some experience implementing data governance principles
Has experience working within the specific domain
Experience creating enterprise data flow Diagrams, enterprise data models, enterprise Data architecture diagrams, data catalogs and data dictionaries
Has experience with AWS big data technology stack and cloud-based architecture
Familiar with developing and implementing data models for analytic use
