Responsibilities
Advise upon and clear advertising content, as needed, for Chick-fil-A, Inc. and its affiliates.
Provide strategic advice and legal counsel to support customer facing initiatives at Chick-fil-A, including providing advice on menu and packaging issues, innovation, trade secrets, and other matters specific to the support of a franchised restaurant system.
Advise upon issues related to the use of Artificial Intelligence, especially in content creation and other uses of A.I. in the IP and Advertising space. This will include copyright and infringement issues and other use cases of A.I. as it relates to the use or creation of Chick-fil-A IP.
Provide expert counsel to the organization on various legal issues impacting Chick-fil-A Intellectual Property which may include trademark, IP ownership, trade secret, know-how, or patent issues.
Provide support for brand protection and enforcement issues.
Partner with internal staff on projects and initiatives focused on the development of new menu items, innovative solutions to support the Chick-fil-A system, and complex promotional campaigns.
Serve on cross-functional teams and attend business meetings to provide legal advice to business partners on a wide variety of Intellectual Property related subjects across the organization.
Manage outside legal counsel work and costs.
Lead and develop training programs, and materials for business teams in regard to various Intellectual Property and Advertising law issues.
Participate in various administrative matters, such as planning, budgeting and strategy for the Legal Department and Intellectual Property.
Attend outside seminars and other business-related events related to issues relevant to the role; stay current on legal changes related to Intellectual Property and Marketing issues.
Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
7+ years of experience practicing law with a focus on intellectual property and/or advertising law
Four (4) year college degree
Law degree from accredited law school with demonstrated academic success.
State Bar membership in good standing.

Strong writing and editing skills.
Ability to identify and set priorities.
Strong organizational skills.
High level of initiative and desire to work with an in-house legal department.
Strong experience in meeting deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to serve leadership and supporting roles in cross-functional projects and/or on cross-functional teams.
Competence in the use of technological systems and standard MS office applications
Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple, simultaneous and shifting demands, priorities and tight deadlines.

8+ years of experience practicing law with a focus on intellectual property and/or advertising law
Large law firm experience
