The Product Delivery Leader is instrumental in orchestrating planning sessions, engaging stakeholders effectively, and crafting governance structures that empower product leaders to excel. Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy:
Build and lead a dedicated team to support the execution of delivery and planning responsibilities, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Collaborate with Product Leaders and enabling partners to define and prioritize product initiatives
Collaborate with Product Leaders to develop product roadmaps and drive the execution of product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business outcomes
Partner with cross-functional product teams, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and vision
Craft and standardize a strategic framework for product roadmaps
Product Delivery:
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of products, ensuring that teams have clear objectives and are equipped with the resources and support they need
Implement and refine ways of working practices to enhance team efficiency and product quality, integrating program management methodologies, as applicable
Monitor progress, identify risks, and proactively address any obstacles to delivery
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of product features
Planning & Alignment:
Lead quarterly planning sessions to ensure that product teams are aligned with the company's annual planning goals
Collaborate closely with Sr. Director of the COE and Product Leaders to translate strategic objectives into actionable product plans
Manage the alignment of stakeholders across the business, ensuring that all teams are working toward common goals and are informed of key priorities
Adjust plans as needed based on feedback and resource constraints strategy
Ensure plans and adjustments to plan are communicated to SCLT, enabling partners, and planning leaders
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact between product teams and senior leadership, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and outcomes
Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams and departments to ensure alignment and transparency
Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support product success
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and gather feedback
Continuous Improvement:
Champion a culture of continuous improvement and agile methodology adoption with the product teams by encouraging experimentation, learning, and adaptation
Utilize metrics and feedback to refine processes, improve product delivery, and drive better outcomes
Encourage cross-functional collaboration to share best practices and insights, promoting a unified effort towards elevating product quality and efficiency
Establish regular retrospectives and feedback loops to identify areas for growth and to celebrate successes, reinforcing a mindset of ongoing development
Advocate for the integration of cutting-edge tools and technologies that streamline workflows and support the principles of Lean and Agile methodologies
Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience in product management, delivery, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the product operating model
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex products in an agile environment
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align product initiatives with business goals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to a diverse audience
Experience with project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of driving continuous improvement
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, JIRA, and other relevant software
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in a relevant field such as an MBA or Master's in Product Management, Engineering, or Computer Science
Strong technical background or understanding of the software development lifecycle
Certification in Product Management or Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner)
Familiarity with the principles and practices outlined in Marty Cagan's "Transformed."
Experience in a similar industry or sector, with knowledge of the specific challenges and opportunities
Leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop talent within a product management team
