    Position summary

    issues and working closely with multiple support & development groups to improve and enhance business outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will require strong technical skills, curiosity, a passion for delivering quality solutions and the drive to continually improve the quality and speed with which we deliver value to the business.

    Other key responsibilities include:

    • Triaging and resolving software application issues, including software debugging, analysing performance and data anomalies and coordinating fixes.

    • Utilising available monitoring and analysis tools to determine the health of the application and its environment, identifying and investigating deviations from normal operations

    • Working with development and infrastructure teams, as well as external vendors to determine the root cause of issues

    • Assisting in resolution of product issues through client/customer education

    • Development of automated processes to replace manual tasks and reduce associated risk

    • Delivering and supporting IT projects

    • Completing system configuration

    • Collaborating with individuals and teams to promote knowledge sharing

    • Making use of metrics and telemetry to support communications to Development teams and stakeholders

    • Analysing recurring system faults and errors, recommend solutions and identify areas where systems can be improved

    • Automating manual, repetitive tasks related to software deployment and operations

    What will you bring to the role?

    You have great interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and an ability to build strong working relationships. You also collaborate and communicate well, influence others, challenge effectively and respond well to challenge from others.

    You'll also bring:

    • 5+ years' experience in a relevant IT related role

    • Proven ability to troubleshoot scripts and applications in different languages such as Java, SQL etc.

    • Proven ability to provide workaround resolutions, root cause analysis and major incident management

    • Infrastructure experience, e.g. AD, DNS, Oracle/SQL, Windows Server Operating Systems, IIS, Load Balancing, Networking, High Availability, Data Recovery, Sumo Logic, Dynatrace, Linux & Control-M

    • Understanding of data models and database structures using SQL

    • The ability to work flexible hours as part of an on-call rotation

    Bonus points if you have:

    • Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting of SQL queries or container environments

    • Experience managing Azure Cloud environments - VNets, NSG's, Security centre, Storage blobs, PAAS services etc.

    • Hands-on experience with OpenShift container environments and Kubernetes

    • Understanding of the Agile SDLC and project methodologies

    • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

    • Financial Services experience

    Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $80,000-$115,000 USD.
