In conjunction with the Manager, Administration, the Assistant Manager, Bond Administration ensures the overall efficiency and adherence to audit guidelines and internal policy and procedures. The incumbent manages a unit of Bond Administrators with the responsibility of the day-to-day administration of all Bond Administration duties. The Assistant Manager, Bond Administration is responsible for the training of new hires. The Assistant Manager, Bond Administration assists and contributes to the design and implementation of the business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of the product goals.
• The incumbent ensures that assigned staff is following established policies and procedures to ensure that quality services are being extended to internal and external clients.
• Supervise and direct the day-to-day activities of a team of staff including delegating work, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the work, coaching, motivating, attendance tracking and teambuilding.
• The incumbent supports management in the review and implementation of new policies and procedures and provides reports on transactions and other statistical data in support of the development and structure of future plans. Provides ongoing guidance and support to administrators on problems or investigations that may arise.
• Coaches and supervises the work of the Administrators by developing their potential through effective training and cross-training, by reviewing regularly their performance (formally and informally) and/or by assigning work activities in order to increase their level of productivity/service and achieve the Department service goals and objectives. Team consists of approximately 5-7 administrators.
• Responsible for the training of new hires into the Bond Administration Group.
• Evaluate the performance of employees comprising the unit in order to supervise, train and coachdirect reports.
• Oversees all payment reports to ensure they are prepared accurately and disseminated timely to the marketplace to facilitate investor payments.
• Manages the relationship with CBSS.

• Post-secondary degree or 10+ years of industry experience
• Canadian Securities Courses, Trust Institute training an asset

• Broad knowledge of the Canadian Securities Industry, preferably from a Corporate Trust and Stock Transfer perspective
• Knowledge of the Canadian Securitization market and its regulatory and legislative requirements

Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $80k - $100k with an expected bonus of 5%.
In this position, you'll be based in the Toronto (East Beaver Creek) office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week.
