Corporate Services Assistant Officer is a junior role in the department to handle administrative tasks. Small / regular issuers are assigned to Assistant Officer for day-to-day client account management. In the event of peak season, cross team support is required so candidates are required to be flexible and multi-tasking.
This role operates mainly regionally in Hong Kong. Occasionally, staff are sent to Mainland China and other countries to provide shareholder meeting services. Time management and the ability to work under pressure is imperative. Staff are also required to possess risk awareness and legal sense as the work of this role carries out involve supporting issuer clients to comply with rule and regulations such as Hong Kong Listing Rule and Securities and Futures Ordinance.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Responsible for day-to-day client account management where small / regular issuers are assigned thereunder
Carry out tasks in relation to shareholder meeting management, dividend payment, despatch of corporate communication and corporate action management according to the agreed timeline and regulatory requirement
Deliver meeting services at shareholder meetings, including registration of shareholders, meeting venue logistics and vote tabulation
Liaise with responsible internal parties to ensure the corporate communication documents be dispatched on schedule
Prepare analysis reports and shareholder lists for listed clients
What will you bring to the role?
To ensure the services to clients are delivered on time, this role requires a basic understanding of how the role contributes to the team, function and business unit objectives. Job awareness and common sense are important to be successful in this role where job duties involve in both operation and client facing. Knowledge in external competitors' products / services is a plus but not a requirement as a start point.
Other key skills required for the role include:
University graduate with bachelor's degree (or above) is required and fresh graduate is acceptable. Work experience and internship experience is a plus
Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Chinese word processing
Experience in handling corporate action projects / corporate clients will be an advantage
