    A role you will love

    As Associate Business Analyst within the P&E team, you will assist in the day-to-day delivery of high-quality reporting and demand support, ensuring that reports are created on time and that queries are responded to accurately, within the agreed timeframes.

    This role will be supporting our internal projects and stakeholders, which requires the ability to understand business problems, assist in formulating solutions, and translating them into technical requirements. The Associate Business Analyst will also help define success criteria and proof of value and effectively manage stakeholders. Additionally, the role includes the creation, maintenance, and delivery of our monthly reports from various sources, aggregating these into packs for our key executives using Power BI.

    You will work closely with fellow P&E colleagues and relevant internal stakeholders to help collate and distribute report and demand data, ensuring work is reviewed, actions are completed within strict deadlines and service delivery levels agreed upon. The Analyst will ensure accountability by maintaining transparency in reporting processes and communicating progress effectively, being ready to document and answer FAQs, support improvements in our reporting and demand processes, and support the strategic direction of GIS and the P&E team.

    Other key responsibilities will include:

    • Creation of monthly/quarterly dashboards or reporting packs for key stakeholders.

    • Collate, ingest and maintain key security, demand, risk and training data in our key systems.

    • Analysis and corrections of errors/exceptions to ensure that key static data and dynamic data sets are accurate.

    • Support other teams in updating, prioritising and maintaining backlog of work items within our demand management system.

    • Liaising with internal contributors, customers, operational and support teams to ensure any issues are resolved promptly, providing accurate written or verbal guidance and interpretation to maintain high quality service standards.

    • Maintaining effective controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance to required processes and procedures.

    • Assist in maintaining/tracking key initiatives and improvement projects.

    • Complete all mandatory, regulatory training and assessments.

    What will you bring to the role?

    The role requires an understanding of a Cyber Security environment (or similar e.g. IT, Application Development) which can be transferred into our team. Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Power Automate, Power Query, Excel & SQL is essential, with a willingness to learn and develop skills in Azure DevOps and other analytical toolsets.

    It would be great if you hold knowledge of demand/backlog workflow tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira and some experience of managing workloads, reporting, and backlog maintenance in these toolsets is preferred.

    The ideal candidate will communicate well both verbally and in writing, create accurate and punctual reports, business justifications and cost analysis. You will be able to deliver presentations, share information and ideas with others, have good listening skills, able be confident to voice your opinion, providing constructive feedback in a positive manner.

    We are ideally looking for someone with experience of an office based technical work environment, but a keen interest in expanding their knowledge of cyber security is a must.

    Key skills you will have:

    • Ability to aggregate and apply different reporting methods (i.e., Power BI, DAX) to various collections of data producing dynamic dashboards facilitating self-serve, 24/7 reporting and static PowerPoint reports.

    • Experience operating in a global company, in a regulated environment.

    • Awareness of project management techniques and methodologies would be advantageous.

    • Excellent skills in data analysis, Excel, Outlook (email), Word.

    • Demonstrated experience with establishing and supporting stakeholder expectations and communicating effectively with Senior Management.
