A role you will love
As our Data Product Manager, you will play pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our Enterprise Data Platform enabling value realisation for our value streams and customers, ensuring engineering excellence and strategic alignment.
In this role you will play a crucial role in cultivating a high-performance team culture, focused on delivering exceptional results. You will be harnessing your exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain robust relationships across the organization, inspiring collaboration and driving cohesive efforts towards shared goals.
Some key responsibilities:
Support the Head of Development working across the value streams to shape the enterprise data strategy.
Support the squad in defining sprint goals, working collaboratively as part of the squad to execute and review the Sprint, continually improving ways of working to maximise value.
Be the voice of the customer, understanding and aligning the product to the operations business strategy managing a product backlog and roadmap from initial request through to release that is continually evolving to reflect business value.
Use agile practices to stay responsive to business needs and to deliver value incrementally, finding innovative ways to solve problems and to shape the delivery.
What will you bring to the role?
As you've probably gathered by now, we are looking for somebody with experience of working as a Product Manager ideally within the Data Space. As this is a Product Owner role, you will need to be adept in Scrum framework and Agile principles.
With this role being a key part of our team, you will need to be able to communicate effectively with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences to share knowledge and complex ideas, provide updates, influence, challenge and take on feedback.
Other key skills required for the role include:
Experience of working within either within a traditional data warehouse environment or experience of data transformation programmes; moving from legally to cloud enabled data platform solutions.
Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data platform and data governance tooling and processes.
Significant experience liaising with stakeholders to understand needs, propose solutions and translate these for other members of the Squad.
Experience in agile requirements techniques including personas, story mapping, product roadmaps, backlog management etc.
Extensive leadership experience shaping, improving and leading a data warehouse or cloud data platform implementation.
