    A role you will love

    You will contribute to ensuring the month end close processes are run in an efficient and effective manner, that the group timetable is met, and our outsourcer delivers against its SLA's and KPIs.

    You will also be responsible for accounting processes; preparation of manual journals, review of manual journals and accounting processes prepared offshore, month end close reporting to group, cash management, fixed assets, intercompany, balance sheets, and responding to requests from group auditors.

    This is a full time role with a 35 hour working week.

    Key accountabilities:

    • Preparation of journals for the month end financial close to agreed month end timetable and group playbook requirements.

    • Preparation of accounting processes such as intercompany, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations to agreed month end timetable and group playbook requirements.

    • Review and monitor the quality and timeliness of offshore transaction processing. This will include quality assurance reporting and feeding back to senior management, and leading on additional training to colleagues.

    • Prepare initial reviews of the P&L to ensure accuracy of the numbers.

    • Maintain integrity of balance sheets; ensuring any queried or judgemental items are escalated to Finance Control on an ongoing, timely basis.

    • Responding to queries from key stakeholders in a timely and professional manner

    • Review of offshore SOPs to ensure they are up to date and reflect global ways of working.

    • Challenge inefficient and/or regionalized processes to drive a globalized, standardized and automated environment as much as possible

    What will you bring to the role?

    Some key attributes:

    • Several years experience in an accounting role, with the preference for someone who has been in a similar role for that time in a large global business.

    • Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal as you will be liaising with numerous stakeholders at varying levels from a wide range of business units.

    • Ability to identify potential risks or issues and present sound solutions.

    • Strong MS Office / Excel and financial systems skills alongside use of a complex Finance system (Oracle Fusion would be preferred)

    • Fully qualified (ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent

    • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in finance, accounting or related discipline.
