As a key member of our team, you'll report to the Principal Cloud Architect and contribute within an Agile environment to enhance our Computershare applications. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Provide technical assistance to development teams to assist in the adoption and implementation DevOps practices including adoption of CI/CD
Configure and support centralised build and deployment infrastructure
Partner with development teams to effectively configure CI/CD pipelines that enhance efficiency and productivity
Automate environment creation and software installation, along with repetitive build and deployment tasks
Create comprehensive guidelines and support documentation to foster best practices
Contribute to research into existing and emerging technologies to enable DevOps
Ensure solutions delivered are fit for purpose, meet security, risk and audit requirements, meet customer expectations and are highly secure
Proactively escalate risks and issues to the Team Lead / Management as appropriate
Provide regular contributions to team knowledge base, product wikis and support documentation
Maintain documentation for environment details
Implement cloud solutions and technologies to enhance our infrastructure capabilities
What will you bring to the role?
We are looking for a talented and passionate Senior DevOps Engineer with experience in the Microsoft Azure space & exposure to key CI/CD tools. You have a true passion for qualities in all stages of software development and for automation, scripting.
Key essential skills required include:
Proven experience in Technology Infrastructure Engineering/Development and Solutions, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Solid understanding of cloud security concepts, identity and access management and compliance requirements
Proficiency in scripting and automation (IaC) using Azure CLI/PowerShell and Bicep/Terraform
Strong experience of Azure DevOps, CI/CD Azure Pipelines (YAML), Azure Artifacts and other deployment automation tools
Real world experience with Azure APIM/AGW, Azure Functions, serverless and containers
Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking and teamwork skills
Ability to effectively manage yourself through ambiguity and change
Continuous improvement and a learning mindset
Desired skills (but not essential)
Tertiary qualifications in Technology or similar/relevant certifications
Networking Architecture
API testing (e.g. PostMan)
Experience with Agile, Kanban or Lean methodology
