As the Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Oracle database environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will work on various projects, including data migrations, upgrades, configurations, and implementations, while leveraging your expertise in Oracle databases, Exadata with Multitenant architecture, RAC, Grid Infrastructure, Data Guard, Oracle Golden Gate, and OEM.
Other Responsibilities include:
Database Management: Administer and maintain Oracle 19c databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
Exadata Management: Manage and optimize Exadata x9 environments, including storage, compute, and network components.
Multitenant Architecture: Implement and manage Oracle multitenant architecture, including pluggable databases (PDBs) and container databases (CDBs).
RAC and Grid Infrastructure: Configure and maintain Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Grid Infrastructure for high availability and scalability.
Data Guard: Set up and manage Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery and data protection.
Oracle Golden Gate: Implement and manage Oracle Golden Gate for real-time data integration and replication.
Data Migrations: Plan and execute data migrations, upgrades, and patching activities with minimal downtime.
Projects: Lead and participate in various database-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to best practices.
OEM: Configure and maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and managing database environments.
Performance Tuning: Perform database performance tuning and optimization to ensure efficient operation.
Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.
Security: Ensure database security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Communication with Key Stakeholders: Provide regular updates to Senior Management on critical issues, challenges, risks, and projects.
Collaborate closely with architects to create enterprise grade solutions. Supporting and empowering our development community to ensure best practices are adopted and deployment pipelines are streamlines and automated where possible.
What will you bring to the role?
Experience: Extensive experience as an Oracle DBA with focus Exadata infrastructure
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Management, multitenant architecture, RAC, Grid Infrastructure, Data Guard, Oracle Golden Gate, OEM, Linux OS, shell scripting, and Cron jobs.
Project work: Strong project work skills with a track record of successfully delivering desired tasks within the forecast timeline.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Bonus points if you have:
Education: Bachelor's in computer science or related field.
Certifications: Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP, OCM).
Cloud Infrastructure: Oracle in Azure or OCI experience.
