As a key pillar of our Issuer Services strategy, we are organizing our front office to deepen our engagement with existing and future clients, which will enable us to better address their needs and create growth opportunities for Computershare.
A role you will love
We are looking for dynamic candidates to join us in transforming our registry front office team. As a Business Development professional, you will help drive revenue growth as we build lasting relationships with many of the world's leading brands. You will be a key member of a Regional Market Team (RMT) where you will be responsible for proactively engaging with future clients to understand their needs and tailor solutions to meet their objectives.
Partner with regional leadership teams to build relationships with top, regional future clients, and be responsible for revenue targets in an assigned territory. Create and execute account plans to structure the relationship building approach
Develop a deep understanding of future client needs and help them get to know Computershare and the solutions we provide
Drive revenue growth by effectively positioning our services to future clients via multiple channels
Proactive development of strategic relationships with key market participants in order to secure new business opportunities
Stay abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities for Computershare
Collaborate with the regional leadership teams to develop compelling value propositions and customized solutions for clients
Work with the team to provide future clients with relevant solutions, proposals, pitch decks, RFP responses, onboarding plans and more
Engage with future and existing clients via national and local events including conferences, industry organizations and Computershare-sponsored forums
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of agreements with future clients to establish long-term relationships
Manage pipeline, track leads, opportunities, and activities via CRM software
This role's compensation is base salary plus incentive (aka commission based on sales)
What will you bring to the role
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Other key skills required for the role include:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related business field (Master's Degree in Business Administration a plus)
Over ten years of experience in financial services front office functions such as relationship management, sales, business development, product or as a registry client in a related role
Proven track record of securing new business from future clients with an understanding of the workings of registry services in the US as well as demonstrated knowledge of the financial services industry with a proven industry network.
Business development experience, preferably in the financial services industry. Further, experience in handling corporate clients, especially face-to-face meeting C level executives, as well as experience in executing and developing proposals.
Knowledge of equity management, SEC regulations, investor relations and corporate governance practices preferred.
Proven ability to conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and targets for business growth within assigned market.
A proven track record in pursuit of large-scale new business opportunities in financial services and a record of successful client activities including new business, cross-selling or products and opportunities as well as a proven track record in closing opportunities.
Excellent listening, communication, negotiation, interpersonal, presentation skills and client focus. Must be comfortable in addressing C-suite executives / high profile / complex stakeholders of large public companies.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools

Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $180,000 - $200,000/yearly. This base pay range is specific to San Francisco California and may not be applicable to other locations.
