You will be responsible for the success of this testing by taking the lead on a comprehensive approach to test planning and execution, progress reporting, readiness reviews, defect management & reporting, test scheduling, and test completion reporting.
You will coordinate and support the testing teams who undertake the test analysis, design and execution activities. You will manage stakeholders, follow risk management processes and adhere to relevant governance frameworks.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Overall responsibility for developing and delivering Computershare's end-to-end HKEX messaging interface Test Strategy (in accordance with the HKEX Test Plan)
Ensure compliance with relevant testing governance frameworks specified within the Hong Kong USM program
Coordinate testing teams made up of Operational staff and Technology subject matter experts. Coordinate setup and changes related to test environment, test data, test cycles, schedules and test execution
Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage defects related to the interface testing
Implement an appropriate testing framework and tooling to manage testing execution, defect management and reporting
Manage the relationships with key external stakeholders within the HKEX testing team
Work with Computershare's Hong Kong USM program leadership team to monitor and evaluate testing effectiveness and progress, deliver regular reports and produce the integration test report for final sign off
Ensure the team employs a variety of testing methods including positive and negative tests, boundary tests, regression tests, performance and capacity tests
Work with stakeholders to identify and manage risks related to the interface testing, and escalate critical issues to Hong Kong USM program leadership team on a timely manner
What will you bring to the role?
You will have prior experience in a Test Management or Leadership role with expertise in the creation and execution of test strategies or plans and have prior experience leading a large project or program of work. You will also have working knowledge of the methodologies of quality assurance including test design & specifications, test case creation, test data requirements, mapping traceability to requirements, executing tests, investigating issues, reporting risks, defect management, capturing test evidence, and reporting on test progress. Ideally, you would have financial services industry experience and will demonstrate an aptitude for soliciting information from product owners and subject matter experts to secure a detailed understanding of the systems under testing and the relevant domain or business knowledge.
Other key skills required for the role include:
A pragmatic and collaborative approach is a must as is excellent planning, communication, organisation and leadership skills.
Attention to detail and some evaluative judgement based on best practice and previous experience. Excellent time management skills are also essential. Experience in Agile methodologies is desirable but can be taught.
Excellent listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences to share knowledge and ideas, provide updates, influence, challenge, and take on feedback.
Ability to speak up and call out if anything is incorrect, inadequate or not of the required standard. It is imperative to the success of the project to challenge and to constructively say what they think.
Preferred but not a must, ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager, Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering qualifications
